Keel's terms
1. The licence
RPTX LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Keel on computers you own or control, for any purpose, including your work. Keel is proprietary: you may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute it, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows that despite this term. Keel remains RPTX LLC's property; the open-source components it contains stay under their own licences, listed in the third-party notices that come with it.
2. Free, the trial, and Pro
- Free: steers the work of your two oldest agents with the built-in rules, for as long as you like.
- The trial: every new install has everything Pro does for 14 days, without paying or signing up. Then it is Free unless you buy Pro.
- Pro: steers every agent's work, keeps the CPUs you choose for you, and uses your own rules. One Pro licence is for one person, on the computers that person uses. For a team, buy one for each person who runs Keel.
3. Paying, renewing, cancelling
Keel Pro is sold by our reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record: Paddle takes the payment, charges the tax that applies where you live, issues the receipt and handles refunds, under Paddle's buyer terms.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. Keel brings in each renewal by itself. Cancel any time from the link in your receipt, from rptxsoftware.com/keel/pro, or by writing to us; Pro then runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Once ($129) is paid one time and never renews. It gives Pro for as long as RPTX LLC offers Keel for Windows, including its updates.
- Refunds: a full refund of any payment within 14 days, no questions asked. Write to [email protected] with your order number. A refunded order's Pro ends.
- Price changes apply to a subscription only from a renewal at least 30 days after we tell you by email.
4. What Keel does to your computer
Keel changes the priority, CPU affinity, memory priority, disk priority and efficiency mode of processes in your own Windows session, and puts each back when it lets a process go, when you quit it, and when you uninstall or upgrade it. It never changes Windows itself or another user's processes. You can switch steering off at any time. Keel trades the speed of the work it steers for the speed of the rest of your computer; you decide whether to use it on work that matters to you.
5. No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Keel is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. RPTX LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost work, data or profits, arising from using Keel. Our total liability for any claim about Keel is limited to what you paid for Keel Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
6. Ending
You can stop using Keel at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your licence ends. If RPTX LLC stops offering Keel, we will say so at least 90 days ahead; a subscription then ends at the end of its paid period, and Pro bought once keeps working offline on the version you have.
7. Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. If we change them, the new version applies from its effective date shown above, and never takes away a refund or a period you have already paid for. Questions: [email protected].
